IRRIGATION FOR THE POOR IN WESTERN KENYA MAY 2012 BY PFJIM

PFJIM IRRIGATION PROJECT FOR THE POOR IN WESTERN KENYA MAY 2012
PASTOR TOM, THE OVERSEER OF PFJIM WAS TO TRAVEL TO SOUTH SUDAN FOR A CHURCH PLANTING SURVEY FROM 17TH TO 30TH MAY BUT THAT DID NOT HAPPEN BECAUSE OF WEATHER AND SECURITY PROBLEMS CURRENTLY BEING FACED IN SOUTH SUDAN.  THE TRIP IS SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 2012. 

PASTOR TOM WAS BUSY WITH EMPOWERING THE POOR ON THE LAKE VICTORIA REGION IN KISUMU WESTERN KENYA.  ON 15TH THROUGH TO 19TH MAY 2012, PASTOR TOM TRAVELED TO NAIROBI TO BUY IRRIGATION WATER PUMP PLUS ALL THE ACCESSORIES AND EQUIPMENT THAT GO WITH IT INCLUDING PIPES.  THE KANDARIA VILLAGE OF KISUMU BECAME ALIVE WHEN IRRIGATION ITEMS ARRIVED IN THE VILLAGE.  THE 18 HOUSEHOLDS IN THE PROJECT WERE TRULY REJUVENATED AND IRRIGATION WORK BEGAN.  THERE WAS HOPE TO PROCLAIM THE GOSPEL, FIGHT POVERTY, FIGHT DISEASES AND MUCH MORE.  THANKS TO ALL WHO PLAYED A ROLE IN THIS.  IT WAS WONDERFUL.  PHOTOS ARE AVAILABLE AND THEY ARE POWERFUL.  YOU CAN REQUEST FOR PHOTOS.
